Env 300 Euros -> 7 jours
Env 400 Euros -> 14 jours
Env 500 Euros -> 21 jours

Japan Rail Passes are here !!
If, like us, you want to explore and truly discover Japan, without going bankrupt, you really should buy yourselves a Japan rail pass before you go... which will allow you to use ALL (except Nozomi) trains from the Japan Rail company (equivalent of French SNCF) FOR FREE !! Yep, that's right ! You can enjoy comfort in the Shinkansen ! And it's all for free ! That's HUGE !!!
Japan being rail country, you can easily access the most remote areas (as weel as inside Tokyo) using small JR lines... as well as the company ferries such as the one going to Miyajima Island.
Coming back to the Rail Pass itself, you'll have to buy a coupon in any Japan-specialized travelling agency before you go there. You'll then trade your coupon for the real Rail Pass in one of JR's specialized agency in Japan.
Beware though, only people holding a tourist visa (maximum of 3 months) can get a Rail Pass.
Average price for a second class adult Rail Pass are :
For 1 week => 300 euros ;
For 2 weeks => 400 euros ;
For 3 weeks => 500 euros.
When you know that a tiicket From Tokyo to Kyoto (and back) costs around 160 euros... you do the maths...
